The Wise County Virginia Office of Emergency Management

The Wise County Virginia Office of Emergency Management is working to identify debris (fallen trees, vegetation, or litter) in our local waterways as a result of Tropical Storm Helene. This effort is critical in identifying areas at risk for future flooding and will support applications for federal and state remediation funding to remove the debris. If you are a Wise County resident and live near a stream, creek, or river that has visible storm debris obstructing the waterway, we urge you to report it to the Wise County Litter Control Department by calling 276-328-1000 during business hours (8 AM - 4:30 PM) or by filling out the form linked below.
